Charity Concert “Listening to the Future”
Listening to the Future Charity was successfully held at the Zenith Centre on December 8, 2023. It was an enriching evening filled with music from exceptionally talented young individuals, creating an atmosphere of joy and philanthropy.
Listening to the Future Charity was successfully held at the Zenith Centre on December 8, 2023. It was an enriching evening filled with music from exceptionally talented young individuals, creating an atmosphere of joy and philanthropy.
The event, organized for charitable purposes, brought individuals together to show support for the Salvation Army while enjoying the pleasures of music and laughter. The charity concert commenced with young musician Tiger Han, captivating the audience with his enchanting piano performance of Rachmaninoff's Prelude No.4 & No. 7.
Tiger Han, who began learning the piano at the age of 5 and is now 13, studies with Ms. Crystal Zhao. He has earned numerous prizes in various Music Eisteddfod and international piano competitions.
Following this, Eleanor H. Zhu and Aaron Xiong, young musicians, presented a violin and cello performance of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Despacito.
Eleanor Zhu, the first violinist in Abbotsleigh Camerata, is an Australia International Youth Talent Competition Gold Award Winner. Aaron embarked on his musical journey at the age of 4, starting with piano and later transitioning to the cello. Along the way, he has secured victories in many eisteddfods and has received the music award at St Aloysius every year.
Other performances included Prelude No.5 by Rachmaninoff, Cello Suite No.1 by J.S. Bach, "Si Mi Chiamano Mimi" from La Boheme by Puccini, Chromatic fantasia and fugue by J.S. Bach, Happy Christmas (War is Over), "Loveliest of Trees" by John Duk, "Joy to the World", "You Raise Me Up", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
The goal of the charity event is to spread love. All child tickets were donated to the Salvation Army, and each attendee brought a gift to contribute to the organization, ensuring children from underprivileged families could enjoy a Christmas meal and receive a gift. Megaward is honored to be a sponsor, actively contributing to the community and witnessing the happiness on the faces of the children.
